Are you ready for the upcoming Zombie Apocalypse? If not, here is a short list of must haves: bottled water, batteries (mostly AA), sharp objects (ax, knife, hammer), backpack, first aid kit, etc. Here is a list of additional things I will have with me at all times, just in case…
PB Loco Peanut Butter – This is a great source of protein to keep you moving if you don’t have a secure place to hide. There are lots of wonderful flavors so you don’t get bored with the same thing every day. It’s lightweight and can be eaten on a spoon, if all else fails.
Sriracha Hot Sauce – If you can only carry one condiment, make it a good one. Many things can be made edible by adding sriracha to it so when the pickens get slim, toss it with some sriracha.
Wine Key – When you do find a nice safe spot for a few days, you might find some wine laying around. If you have a wine key, you’re set. You’ll be able to save your water by making it last longer. Plus, the corkscrew and foil cutter make great weapons if a Zombie sneaks up on you. Remember, aim for the head.
Microplane Grater – A great space saving tool. You may find yourself in a school cafeteria where there happens to be some produce that’s still good. You can use your Microplane to add some citrus zest to a salad or soup, grate some cheese, etc. Using this tool will help you remember the “good ol days” and make every meal special and memorable.
Pen & Paper – Inevitably, I’ll have moments that I’ll want to remember about this experience. I’ll need pen and paper to jot down notes for a future book, to make a list of things I need to pick up along the way (clean underwear, more wine, etc. ), or just to let other survivors know I was there and where I will be heading.
But I have a nagging feeling that I’m forgetting something. So, help me out and comment here on what you’ll have with you or what you think I need to complete my survival kit.
